Assertive Communication

Number of Participants: : 10-12 per group
Methods of Work: mini lectures, individual work, small group work, questionnaires, simulation games, role play, feedback.
This interactive one day workshop aims to empower all participants to learn how to recognize their assertive behaviors as well as to master new ways of communication that are important to maintain good interpersonal relationships.
At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Understand what assertiveness is and why it matters
- Recognize the benefits of assertive behavior compared to aggressive or submissive behavior
- Apply the three core principles of assertive behavior:
- Be honest about what matters, act congruently and responsibly, aiming for a win-win outcome
- Negotiate as equals—valuing both your own dignity and that of others
- Stay solution-oriented in communication and conflict situation
During the training sessions, the following will be worked on systematically:

- Behaviors based on instincts (aggressive, submissive i passive-aggressive)
- Factors that affect proper and rational decision making
- Assertiveness as an attitude
